In 2002, I survived a car accident that shook me to the core. Physically, I walked away fine. But Mentally... I didn’t feel “safe” for years. I couldn't drive in rain without panicking, feeling like my heart was about to hyperventilate and stop beating altogether!
At the time, I didn’t have the language for what I was experiencing. I just knew my mind was always on high alert - over-preparing, overthinking, and often feeling drained for no reason.
I became “high-functioning”… but quietly anxious (And nobody noticed).
Even as I grew in my career, took on responsibilities, and looked like I had it all together, inside, I was still wrestling with spirals of doubt and perfectionism.
